Private Detective: Sketch Released of Suspect in Child’s Shooting

Lexington Police have released a composite drawing of the man they believe shot a 9-year-old boy Saturday.

The man is described as Hispanic and between 19 and 25 years old. He’s between 5’6″-5’8″ with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a button down shirt, jeans and a large gold belt buckle. He was also driving a 2000-2003 model white Nissan Maxima with dark tinted windows.

Police say the suspect shot a 9-year-old boy Saturday while the boy was in his parent’s car. The victims told officers they were driving near the intersection of Hollow Creek Road and Russell Cave Road when a bullet was fired into their vehicle.

The boy’s current condition is unknown. Anyone with any information is asked to call police.
