Police are investigating what they are calling a disturbing case of elderly neglect in Wayne County.
Investigators say they found 72-year-old Joan Cox in her bed living in deplorable conditions in a home in Monticello. Her son and caretaker, Gary Cox, allegedly padlocked the door from the outside.
