Kentucky State Police, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Richmond Police Department are searching for an escapee from the Madison County Detention Center.
Police say Alexandria Smith, 27 escaped at approximately 2 p.m. Monday and fled on foot.

She walked out of the sally port following a law enforcement agency vehicle.
She was being held for theft by deception and failure to appear. If you have any information on her whereabouts, you are asked to contact either agency.
