For a Martin county family one heartbreak is following another.
Last week, Martin county residents Sharon Newcome and Virgil Perry died in a fiery Pennsylvania crash, leaving behind five children. Their oldest daughter, Rachel, says a group of heartless thieves wasted no time in stealing items the couple left behind.
“I felt violated,” Rachel says. “What they took was stuff left by my mom and dad.”
The sheriff’s office says someone stole electronics and a week eater from the family’s home, and Rachel is upset that the thieves took advantage of their parents’ death only five days after the fatal crash.

To make matters even worse, the Sheriff’s office says Rachel’s cousin, Jonathan Mollet, is connected to the crime and is charged with receiving stolen property.
Rachel says she’s not only trying to cope with her parents’ death, but why someone wanted to cash in on the tragedy.
The Sheriff’s office says they’re questioning other persons of interest, and have been able to return some of the items to the family.
