Lexington police have one person in custody after a carjacking and a second attempted carjacking Thursday morning.
Police say a man forced his way into a car at St. Joseph Hospital East on North Eagle Creek Drive, and made the victim drive him to the Steeplechase Apartments on Lindenhurst Drive. Officers say once there, the suspect got out of the car and ran away. A few minutes later, he tried to steal another car, but the driver would not let him inside and called 911.

Police say they have a man in custody around the corner outside the Derbytowne Apartments, and officers are in the process of interviewing him. At this point, that person has not been charged.
Nobody was hurt.
