An 8-year-old boy has been missing since Thursday, and local law enforcement and the State Police are asking for the public’s assistance.
Everett Streko (first photo), who was described as 4 feet tall and weighing approximately 60 pounds with green eyes, brown hair and fair skin, was last seen by his grandmother/legal guardian at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday at her residence located on Kings Court in Green Brook, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
On Friday morning, the grandmother noticed that her daughter-in-law, Amy Streko (second photo), 32, was missing along with Everett and all of the child’s personal belongings, according to the SCPO. Streko is Everett’s biological mother and was also living at the King Court residence.
The grandmother notified the Green Brook Police Department of her missing grandson at 12 noon Friday.

The child’s biological father is Michael Streko (third photo), 34, whose last known address is 331 West Sylvania Avenue, in Neptune. A search of the Neptune residence yielded no results.
The investigation thus far has revealed that Michael Streko moved all his belongings from the Neptune residence on Thursday at approximately 1 p.m. and his whereabouts are unknown.
Michael Streko is known to operate a 1997 White/Blue Winnebago bearing N.J. registration X72-FNK. Amy Streko is known to operate a 2007 Grey 4 door Ford Focus bearing N.J. registration Y96-FHN.
The New Jersey State Police Missing Person Unit has assisted in this investigation.
Michael and Amy Streko are in violation of a court order and are wanted for child interference.
