It’s been two weeks since a mother of 5 disappeared in Nelson County. On Saturday, search teams continued their efforts looking for answers as to what happened to Crystal Rogers.
“You don’t know how much it means to us that people have came out and searched, and they are here today. It’s just overwhelming,” said Mike Ballard, Crystal’s uncle.

More than 100 people from several different states including Florida and Ohio were searching for the Bardstown woman Saturday afternoon.
“Two weeks now we’ve had people daily coming out, tracking through mud and storms,” said Crystal’s great uncle, Sammy Johnson.
The mother of 5 was last seen by her boyfriend on July 3rd. Crystal’s car was later found abandoned on the Bluegrass Parkway with a flat tire. Her keys, purse and cell phone found inside.
“You hope for the best, expect the worst, but I don’t think there’s anyway you can prepare for probably what’s going to happen,” said Ballard.
All over Nelson County and the surrounding areas, the family says they’ve scoured acres upon acres of farm land, searched the Bluegrass Parkway, and boated through bodies of water.
“Anybody around that has land, farms, you’re by the river, go out. Nobody knows your property like you do, search those properties, help us out,” said Ballard.
As they search Crystal’s family is still holding on to hope.
“And if Crystal is alive and someone did take her, let her go and send her back home to us,” said Crystal.
The reward money raised is up to $71,000. If you have any information, call the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.
