Private Detective: KY Truck Driver Added to TN’s 10 Most Wanted List

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has placed the Laurel county truck driver, indicted this week for the deaths of six people, in their “Top 10 Most Wanted” list.

Benjamin Brewer was indicted on 13 charges, including six counts of vehicular homicide and four charges of assault, for a crash on I-75 in Chattanooga, Tennessee in June.

According to an NTSB report, Brewer was driving a semi-truck from Florida back to London but didn’t slow down in a construction zone and started a chain reaction crash.

A total of eight vehicles were involved. Six people died and four others were injured.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety administration says Brewer tested positive for meth six weeks before the crash.

According to an NBC affiliate in Chattanooga, Brewer also had meth in his system during the crash.

Tennessee added Brewer to their “10 Most Wanted” list Thursday while police continue a statewide search for him in Kentucky.

“We have some just really sketchy information that he may be still in Kentucky but as far as where, we’re not sure at this point,” said Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to Brewer’s arrest.
