Officials say the body part found along the Kentucky River in Jessamine County is not human.
A Jessamine county couple stumbled upon what looked like a human hand during a hike Wednesday afternoon along the Kentucky River.

The Jessamine County coroner said testing confirmed that the body part was not human, but belonged to some type of animal.
