Police in Louisville have released the name of the city’s latest homicide victim.
Police say officers found Mark Wagner, 26, lying on the sidewalk at the corner of 24th and Chestnut streets in the Russell neighborhood around 8 p.m. Sunday. Officers say Wagner suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS rushed Wagner to University of Louisville Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they are trying to determine if Wagner was shot at the intersection, or shot someplace else and then dumped on the sidewalk.
Wagner is the 51st criminal homicide victim in Louisville this year.
