Thieves broke into the home of an elderly man in Lexington Sunday night. It is not the first time the Paris Pike home has been targeted.
Edward Gage moved into this 90-year-old house 50 years ago.It is set back on some land and is a bit secluded.
When Gage got home Monday morning he found that burglars got into his home through a window and stole some of his belongings.

“There were several family things and then things that I’ve collected over the years,” said Gage. He said that the thieves took antiques such as china and other collectibles.
Gage’s home was broken into a couple of other times in the past year. In those burglaries he lost his T.V and some other valuables.
Gage was not home Sunday night because the house is under construction, due to a large tree falling into the home and causing damage.
“The things we own are part of us, and meaningful,” said Gage.
While he says that he values his privacy, he is okay if neighbors keep an extra eye out.
“I just would like everyone to be aware and cautious that these things do happen,” Gage told LEX 18.
Police are not sure if the three break-ins are related.
