After several hours of searching the surrounding area, police say they found McCarty in a field covered in mud. The man who was with her remains on the run.
Police are warning people in White House near I-65 to lock their doors as they search for the man. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators statewide, with help from the U.S. Marshals and the FBI, have been searching for Cook since Saturday, when he allegedly shot a Tennessee police officer and fired shots at a Kentucky State Trooper.
