Wrongful Death Taylor County Man Accused of Murdering His Wife

A gruesome discovery made in Taylor County, a woman’s body was found dumped in a culvert under Hwy 744.

A man has been charged with murder in what’s being called a domestic situation.

Dewayne Gribbins was on the run in Lexington this morning. He surrendered to the police without issue and was taken back to Taylor County where he is accused of murdering his wife Christine.

Christine Gribbins filed for an Emergency Protective Order in 1994 and 1996, but police say there wasn’t an active EPO on file.

LEX 18 is told that Christine’s body was found by one of her adult children.

Dewayne Gribbin’s son spoke to LEX 18’s Richard Essex but declined an on camera interview. He said that his father did what police believed happened and the relationship between his father and step mother had been turbulent for years.
