Private Detective: Clark County Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Robbery

A Clark County man pleaded guilty today to an attempted robbery in Winchester last year.

Curtis Wilkerson admitted he was part of a robbery that ended with his friend Davon Marshall getting shot. Police say Wilkerson and Marshall tried to rob the 96 Truck Stop in Winchester back in September of 2014.

During the hold up, the store owner pulled a gun out and shot Marshall. He later died from his wounds. Wilkerson was acting as a look out. Store employees held him until police got there.

Wilkerson pleaded guilty to complicity to facilitate robbery and burglary.

Prosecutors and his defense came to the plea deal with the understanding that his offenses were non-violent.

Wilkerson faces 10 years in prison. He will be back in court for a formal sentencing January 7, 2016.
