A man is facing serious charges after police say he tried kidnapping a woman he worked with.
Police say on December 28, 36-year-old German Villatoro offered to give a coworker a ride home from work at the UK Medical Center. They both live in Lexington. Instead of taking her to her home, he drove to Morehead.
The police say that is when she tried to escape in Lexington but Villatoro restrained her, at one point putting his hand over her mouth and grabbing her breasts. He forced the victim to kiss him.

After that Villatoro got on I-64 heading east. That is when the victim was able to convince Villatoro to pull over at a gas station in Morehead so she could go to the bathroom. She was able to escape and call police.
Villatoro is being held at the Rowan County Detention Center and he is charged with sexual assault and kidnapping.
