Private Detective: Man Arrested For Practicing Medicine After Suspension

When a doctor in Corbin was suspended from practicing medicine by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensing, he just went to Williamsburg.

Chief Wayne Bird got a tip that he should check out Doctor Hudson, a pain management physician, who was allegedly seeing patients at the Preferred Health Care Practice on US 25.

When they got there, Hudson’s vehicle was in the parking lot and a patient claimed that they were seen by him on January 8, two months after the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure ordered an emergency suspension of his license.

They decided to suspend his license because his medical records about patients he’d prescribed pain meds to weren’t on the up and up.

Police say Hudson had no business seeing patients in Williamsburg.

“He didn’t seem surprised.  He was ok with us.  We brought him back to the police department to process and he agreed to talk to us.  He didn’t seem shocked,” Bird told LEX 18.

Williamsburg Police are asking to hear from anyone who was treated by Dr. Hudson between December 9 and January 11.

Every patient who comes forward will be one more charge against Shawn Hudson.
