According to police, Owens told them she panicked after her boyfriend, Gary Jenkins suffered a stroke. She told them she kept his body inside a freezer in the couple’s home on Happy Ridge Road for weeks after his death last year.

Owens’ arrest citation says that she tried to dispose of the body by pouring lye and fertilizer on top of it. The report goes on to say that the man’s arms were also tied with several pieces of string.

Police want to stress that Owens in not on the run, she may just not be aware of her indictment.
