A man is accused of maintaining a consensual sexual relationship with a minor for two years, according to an arrest affidavit.
Ever Jose Medrano, 24, was 20-years-old when he met the victim, who was 14-years-old, at Outyouth, a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth in Central Texas. The victim told police that Medrano became his mentor and when he was 15-years-old, the relationship became sexual.
The victim said the first sexual encounter happened in late 2012 and continued through January 2014.

Medrano originally told police he did not have a sexual relationship with the victim. Medrano later admitted to police that he had a single sexual encounter with the victim.
Medrano was already on the Texas Department of Public Safety’s sex offender registry for a previous offense, according to online records. Medrano was given a $50,000 bond a no contact order with the victim.
