Laurel County deputies arrested a man who they say fired at gun at two homes while trying to hit a target. 42-year-old Calvin Earl Barger III was arrested around 3 p.m. Sunday on Barbourville Road, just outside of London.

Investigators say Barger had been shooting guns in his side yard into a target. Apparently, one stray bullet had struck the roof of a nearby home. Another bullet allegedly hit a different home, and traveled through an exterior wall into the home. The bullet was found on the floor of the bathroom. Two people who live in the home had just left the bathroom area when the bullet came through the wall, according to deputies.
Barger is charged with wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.
