A teenager was arrested after authorities say the stolen car he was driving crashed into a Madison County Deputy’s cruiser.
According to officials, deputies responded to Countryside Motel in attempt to recover a stolen truck reported by Berea Police Department.
Upon arrival at Countryside Motel, one of the responding deputies observed a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle. According to the sheriff’s office, as they approached the truck, the driver attempted to flee the scene, colliding with a Madison County Sheriff’s Office cruiser causing minor damage.

Deputies removed the driver of the truck and he was arrested.
Brandon Hacker, 19, of Richmond was charged with two counts of wanton endangerment, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property $10,000 or more, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple traffic offenses. Hacker was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center and received two additional charges of custodial interference.
The additional charges stem from the two other occupants of the vehicle, identified as missing juveniles from Madison County. The juveniles were transported to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and later released to their parents.
