A Madison County man has been arrested for possessing child pornography.
Christopher Smith, 30 of Richmond, was arrested April 15th, according to the office of Attorney General Andy Beshear.
A press release from the office of Attorney General Andy Beshear says Smith was charged with 25 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

The arrest was the result of the Cyber Crime Unit executing a search warrant of Smith’s home. Investigators say Smith’s computer contained dozens of files depicting sexual abuse of children.
Smith is in the Madison County Detention Center. Bond has not been set.
