Investigators are looking into a shooting in Powell County that resulted in the death of one person.
Kentucky Sate Police say that Melissa Roberts, of Stanton, was confronted by 39-year-old of Steven Strange inside of her residence on Cow Creek Road in Bowen Wednesday night.

Roberts then fired a 12-gauge shotgun, striking Strange in the chest.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Powell County Coroner. Next of kin has been notified.
The shooting remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
