Private Detective: Men Sentenced in Connection with Pulaski Co. Shooting

The two men responsible for critically injuring a woman in Pulaski County learned their fates in court Thursday.

Timothy Showalter and Mark Showalter were sentenced for the 2015 shooting of Allison Boclair. She suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to UK Hospital in critical condition. Investigators say an argument led to the violence.

The two fled the scene after the shooting in a pickup truck which was later found abandoned.

The father and son faced a judge in a Somerset courtroom. Timothy Showalter, who pleaded guilty to second degree burglary, was sentenced to eight years. His father, Mark, pleaded guilty to first degree assault and received a sentence of 12 years.

The victim, Allison Boclair, was allowed to read an impact statement. Though she said the punishment was fair, she stated that she will continue to live her life with pain.
