A Lexington man is under arrest for the murder of his girlfriend.
43-year-old Amy Koegel was found dead in her home on Pickney Drive in Lexington around 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
Lexington police are investigating her death. The coroner says she suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
William R. Pomeroy, 45, is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection with Koegel’s death.

Police say Pomeroy turned himself in without incident.
Neighbors say that Koegel lived in the home with her three children, her elderly parents and Pomeroy.
Family members reported last seeing Ms. Koegel on Wednesday evening.
Neighbors tell LEX 18 that around 3:00 a.m. Thursday morning, they heard a round of gunshots.
