Kentucky State Police are investigating a double stabbing in Knox County.
It happened July 10 at a location on Ky 1803 at least one mile from the Laurel County line. The victims, Connie Smith and Randy Smith, drove to a second location in Laurel County after the stabbing occurred.

Both the victims were flown to UK. Joe Gibson, 35, was subsequently arrested. Gibson is the son of Connie Smith and step-son of Randy Smith.
He’s been charged with two counts of attempted murder and was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
