The Lexington woman accused of hitting a girl with her car over an argument that started on Facebook was sentenced to six years in jail Thursday.
During her sentencing, Brilee Moyers sobbed and said she was desperately sorry for what she had done.
Moyers was convicted of first-degree assault and tampering with evidence after she hit Morgan Livingston with her car.
Livingston told LEX 18 that she had been involved in a social media argument with someone and Moyers hadn’t been part of the argument but showed up at a street corner in Lexington to defend a friend.

Livingston spent 27 days in a hospital and doctors have told her that sooner than later they may have to amputate her left leg.
The judge sentenced Moyers to five years for assault and 12 months for tampering with evidence, minus her time served.
“I’m ready to put it all behind me and move on with my life,” Livingston told LEX 18.
