Private Detective: Lexington Police Looking for Wallet Thief

Lexington Police are looking for two men who are wanted for stealing a woman’s wallet and purchasing nearly $1,000 worth of merchandise at Target.

Detective Mark Thomas with the Lexington Police Department says that a woman was at the Panera in the Palomar Center when she realized she left her wallet in the restroom. When she went back to get her wallet, it was missing.

Around thirty minutes after surveillance footage shows the two men in Panera, the thieves were at Target on Reynolds Road using the stolen credit cards.

The card weren’t the only things the thieves made off with.

“She had a couple of rings that were in that wallet that not only had monetary value of significance, but they were also sentimentally significant for her,” said Detective Thomas.

Thomas says they are looking for both men, not just the one who made the transaction, but both of them.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest.
