Wrongful Death Man Accused in Deaths of Missing Couple in Court

The man accused in the murders of a missing Northern Kentucky couple will face a judge Wednesday.

Craig Pennington is accused of shooting and killing 38-year-old Robert K. Jones and 35-year-old Crystal J. Warner and disposing of their bodies.

The couple owned the property that Pennington was renting and family members tell LEX 18 that they were planning on evicting him. The couple’s bodies are still missing and search crews have combed through multiple counties trying to find their remains. Pennington’s indictment also includes charges of abusing a corpse.

Recently, Pennington was indicted on several counts related to the case including two counts of murder, robbery, kidnapping, tampering with physical evidence, theft by unlawful taking, wanton endangerment, terroristic threatening, two counts of abuse of a copse and menacing.
