A man has been extradited from Michigan to Kentucky to face disturbing charges out of Mount Sterling.
The investigation started over the weekend of July 30-31 when police say a woman showed up to the hospital and said he had been kidnapped and raped. Police say she told them she was walking in Mount Sterling when she was abducted at gun point.
She says her kidnapper took her to an undisclosed location and sexually assaulted her.

One week later, Mount Sterling police notified police in Michigan that they believed the suspect was there.
Ronald Triplett was taken into custody without incident and will be turned over to authorities in Michigan.
Detroit Metro Police say that Triplett was picked up by police in a hotel parking lot in Livonia, MI.
Mount Sterling Police say that while Triplett doesn’t appear to have a criminal history in Kentucky, he has an extensive violent criminal history in other states.
Triplett is charged with 1st degree rape, kidnapping, and 1st degree sodomy. He also faces charges of 1st degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, because detectives say he was carrying counterfeit money.
His arraignment will be Monday, August 15.
