Private Detective: Authorities Looking For Inmate Out of Lewis Co.

Authorities are looking for an inmate from the Lewis County Detention Center who walked away from a work detail Tuesday, according to the Lewis County Herald.

Sheriff Johnny Bivens said Shawn Tyler Ogden, 20, of Frankfort, was working with another class D inmate along Kentucky Route 344 when he failed to return to report to the supervisor.

The Lewis County Herald said that Ogden had mentioned Flemingsburg Tuesday morning but his direction of travel is unknown.

Ogden was convicted of theft by unlawful taking and sentenced to three years in prison, however, Bivens said that he was eligible for parole on November 1.

Ogden is described by the Lewis County Herald as a white man of a medium build. He is said to be 6’2’’, around 200 pounds with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with any information on Ogden or his whereabouts should call 911 or the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
