Wrongful Death Woman Arrested in Lexington in Connection with Cincinnati Murder

A woman was arrested in Lexington in connection with a Cincinnati murder.

WLWT reports that 41-year-old Margaret Kinney and 43-year-old Michael Stumph were wanted for aggravated murder in the death of Otto Stewart, 89.

They say that Stewart was found dead in his home on Friday.

Police arrested Stumph Saturday. WLWT says he is in custody in Shelby County.

On Tuesday, police arrested Kinney in Lexington. She’s in the Fayette County Jail.

Stewart’s body was found after his landlord and friend, Doyle Spradlin, became worried when Stewart didn’t pay rent.  Spradlin discovered Stewart’s body. His family had not heard from him since before Thanksgiving, according to WLWT.

The station reports that Stewart actually had a relationship with Kinney and that Stewart had even helped raise Kinney’s son.

“So he sort of adopted him, helped raise this little boy and the mother was involved with Otto for maybe 10 years or so,” Spradlin told WLWT.

WLWT says that court documents state Kinney is accused of killing Stewart using a knife and ligature before stealing his car and money.
