Private Detective: Bag of Puppies Found Dumped in Lexington Street

Animal Control investigators are trying to find out who is responsible for dumping a bag of 6-week-old puppies in the middle of a Lexington street.

An officer with Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control was called to Race Street Thursday where several young puppies were abandoned in a brown paper bag.

The tiny chihuahua-mix puppies were discovered by a good samaritan who knew to call officials immediately. The puppies were taken to the shelter for treatment.
