A search crew searching for a missing man uncovered a set of remains that were unrelated to the case.
A group of volunteers were out searching for Douglas Middleton who has has been missing since last week. Middleton, 23, was last seen near his home on Walton Road in Artemus.

The Knox County Coroner tells LEX 18 that the remains appear to have been along the Cumberland River for some time. They have been sent to Frankfort autopsy.
The remains have been identified as by the Knox County coroner as David Farmer, 51, of Pineville. Farmer went missing on November 20, 2016. He was last seen at the Pineville Community Hospital.
It’s too early to tell if foul play is suspected.
