Wrongful Death Two To Be Charged in Deadly Hit and Run

Two people will be facing charges after a deadly hit-and-run crash in Scott County.

The sheriff’s office tells LEX 18 that they were called out around midnight to Sabin Drive in Georgetown.

Officials tell LEX 18 that Donald Savage, 46, was trying to stop a pickup truck that was driving recklessly through the neighborhood when he was hit and killed.

Witnesses describe the truck as white or silver with a loud exhaust. They say it also has a monster energy drink logo on the rear passenger window and might also have an NRA logo on the same window. Witnesses were able to see part of the license plate and say it’s a KY Farm license plate and contains the numbers 8678.

Sheriff’s Officials do confirm that investigators are speaking to two people of interest currently. The Scott County Sheriff says both of them are giving opposing stories, but they will both be charged.

Taylor Putty, 18, and a juvenile will both face charges of leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with physical evidence.

A truck, matching the description of the vehicle that fled from the scene, is currently in evidence.

If you have any information on this hit and run or see the truck, you’re asked to give the Scott County Sheriff’s office a call.
