The wife of a Scott County man killed in a hit and run said that her family has been the target of harassment.
Don Savage’s funeral was less than a week ago, and already his family says that the driver of a truck is antagonizing them in front of their home.
Kathy Savage said that their family moved into their dream home in the Fall of 2015. Last Monday, police say 46-year-old Don was trying to get two teens from revving up their engines and spinning their tires in front of his home. Kathy says that is when 18-year-old Taylor Putty and another teen hit Savage with a truck and fled the scene.

Kathy told LEX 18 that big trucks have been driving recklessly past their home for over a year now. Kathy said that teens loiter in trucks nearby. She said that they will drive on lawns in the neighborhood and steal flood lights and trail cameras meant to deter the drivers.
“There’s 60 homes on that street and many young families,” she said.
Monday afternoon, Kathy said a man driving a white Dodge truck with bright green neon lights on the top of it kept squealing his tires in front of their home. The truck had a black undercarriage.
“ A white truck drove by the house went to the cul-de-sac and starting doing a burn-out in front of the house,” said Kathy.
She said that she believes this was intentional.
“If anybody knows who did this, let us know. This has to stop, it absolutely has to stop. One person has been killed already. We can’t have this, it’s not right,” said Kathy.
The family wants anyone who can identify the driver to come forward and tell who he is. Scott County Deputies are also looking for the truck and have increased patrols in the Westwood neighborhood.
