UK Officials are warning their employees about a scam going on in Lexington.
UK sent out an email to employees reminding them that they would never be asked for their Link-Blue password over email.
Some of the phishing scams reported have asked the employees to click on a link to validate their information. Those links can give computers a virus and compromise personal email.

Employees are asked to change their password immediately if they get such an email.
Officials have released the following tips to detect a scam:
- Poor syntax and/or grammar within the message
 - An unspecified sender
 - Links that ask you to click onto non-uky.edu addresses for “secure verification”
 - A fake reply address e.g., chancellor@uky.edu (UK does not have a chancellor)
