Private Detective: Four Suspects Wanted For Check Forgery

The Laurel County Sheriff has named four suspects, including two Lexington men, in a check forging ring.

Sheriff John Root says the group forged counterfeit checks in the name of a local church and tried to cash them at a local bank. He says an employee at First National Bank of London found a large check before it was cashed and called the Sheriff’s Office.
