Private Detective: Three Arrested in Barren County For Allegedly Making Meth

Three people were arrested in Barren County allegedly for making meth.

31-year-old Tyler Branstetter, 33-year-old Joshua Bunch and 20-year-old Melissa Furlong, all of Glasgow, were taken into custody Friday night.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office tells us that just before 9:15PM they got a call about Branstetter’s whereabouts; he was wanted for a parole violation. Reportedly when deputies arrived there was a strong chemical smell coming from the home on the 600 block of Jack Brown Road. Deputies believed they were actively manufacturing methamphetamine, they also received a tip that Branstetter may have been armed with a handgun according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Reportedly the suspects wouldn’t come out of the home for three hours. They were eventually taken into custody, deputies say they found materials commonly used to make meth and other drug paraphernalia.

All three are facing charges including manufacturing meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. Bunch and Branstetter are also each facing a charge of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

The Barren River Drug Task Force is leading the investigation.
