Private Detective: Woman Arrested for Hitting Two With Her Car

A woman has been arrested and charged with two counts of assault after deputies say she hit two people with her car.

Deputies say that Rhonda Mays had allegedly gone to a home of Willie Cheek Road and asked to borrow money from the residents. While the female victim went inside the home to get some money to loan Mays, Mays allegedly got into a vehicle in the victim’s driveway and took a purse from it. Deputies say Mays then tried to leave in her own vehicle. The female victim tried to stop Mays from leaving the scene, and deputies say she was struck by the car, knocking her to the ground.
