Private Detective: Former Teacher Accused of Kidnapping Considered ‘Flight Risk’

A former Tennessee teacher accused of kidnapping his former student is being called “a flight risk” and will remain in jail until his trial.

Tad Cummins appeared in federal court Friday afternoon in Nashville.

The FBI agents who initially interviewed Cummins says he admitted to sexually assaulting the 15-year-old girl multiple times while they were on the run.

Cummins is charged with transporting a minor across state lines to engage in criminal sexual conduct.

If convicted, he would face at least 10 years in prison.
