A juvenile has been charged in connection a fire on Friday.
The fire started at approximately 1:30 p.m., but Kentucky State Police weren’t notified till around 2:30 p.m. that departments were attempting to put out a the fire at the Gamaliel Elementary School.

Five school employees were working in the school when the blaze began but all were able to make their way to safety and no injuries were reported.
Architects estimate that the school received upward of $1,000,000 in structure damage.
The juvenile has been charged with third-degree arson, first-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree burglary.
She was charged and released to her parents.
The case is still being investigated and additional charges are expected.
