EAST CHICAGO | A man using a stolen identity to work in the city was arrested Tuesday after the real resident tracked him down at a South Side factory, police said.
The 30-year-old victim told police he was informed that his unemployment benefits from a previous job were being terminated because he was now working at Trai-Cor Processing, 4809 Tod Ave.
Police said the victim went to the plant and met the man using his name and Social Security number and called police.

Detectives confronted the man, who produced a Social Security card and an Indiana identification card, police said, but there was no official record of the information on the state ID.
The man admitted he had bought the documents on 26th Street in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, police said.
He was arrested on fraud charges. Police said Thursday that the man still had not been positively identified.
