An SUV crashed head-on into an ambulance in Gallatin County Tuesday morning, leaving a man dead.

The accident happened at about 10 a.m. on Highway 127 North. Officials say 22-year-old Hunter LeGrand was driving under the influence and crossed over the center line and hit the ambulance. Two EMT’s and a patient were in the ambulance. The EMT’s were taken to local hospitals for their injuries.
The patient, 59-year-old John Little, was killed.
Charges against LeGrand are pending.
