A Lexington man accused in a deadly beating took a plea deal in the case.
The Fayette County Commonwealth’s Attorney says Travis Scott Hurd, 20, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of Perry Shaw, 49. Hurd was originally charged with murder.

Shaw’s body was found behind a shopping center on Oxford Circle in 2010.
The plea deal calls for a 10-year prison sentence.
