A Boyle County business was raided Wednesday as part of a state and federal fraud investigation.
Throughout the day, detectives removed computers and boxes from “Go Go Gorillas,” a children’s fun center on the South Danville Bypass.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service told LEX 18 that the owner, Christopher Turner is the target of an investigation, claiming he defrauded multiple people out of several million dollars. That official said Turner was not registered to receive investments and that he is believed to have taken money from “Go Go Gorillas” and his other business ventures for his own use.

“I can’t believe that this is happening,” said Jasmine Clark, an employee at Go Go Gorillas.
Clark claimed she and other employees were owed several paychecks, but she still said these accusations came as a shock to her.
“How can somebody take the money that they put into a business and then use it for their own personal use and have us working everyday constantly, then tell us we get paid, and we get nothing?” Clark said.
Authorities also searched Turner’s home on Colonial Way. A warrant was even issued for another of his business offices.
“Go Go Gorillas” has been closed for renovations and is set to re-open in September with a daycare built for more than 100 children.
Turner has not been arrested. The case will likely go before a federal court.
LEX 18 went to Turner’s house to get a comment from him, but Turner was not home.
