Private Detective: Winchester Man Pleads Guilty to Hacking High School Sports Website

A Winchester, Ky., man has admitted to conspiring to hack into a website dedicated to athletics at an Ohio high school connected with a prolific rape case.

Deric Lostutter, 29, pleaded guilty to conspiring to illegally access a computer without authorization, and to lying to an FBI agent. Noah McHugh, Lostutter’s co-conspirator, previously pleaded guilty in September 2016 to accessing a computer without authorization.

Lostutter admitted that in December 2012, he and McHugh hacked into a fan’s website, created for Steubenville High School sports teams, to bring attention to a rape for which two Steubenville High School football players had been arrested in August 2012 and were being held in custody.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Lostutter filmed a video wearing a mask and wrote a manifesto. The messages threatened to reveal personal identifying information of Steubenville High School students, and made false claims that the administrator of the fan website was involved in child pornography and directed a “rape crew.”

As part of the same hack, Lostutter and McHugh accessed the administrator’s private email account, and then publicly posted a link to download the administrator’s emails on the fan website.

Lostutter and McHugh changed the website so no one could access anything regarding athletics and could only view the video, the manifesto, and the link to the administrator’s private emails. Lostutter and McHugh then used their online identities in social media and news interviews to promote themselves and their hack.

In 2013, Lostutter lied to the FBI by stating in an investigative interview that he had not written the manifesto posted to the website, that he had not accessed the password-protected section of the fan website, and that he had not changed the administrator password for the website, which prevented the administrator from regaining control of his own website.

Wrongful Death Missing Boyd Co. Man Found Dead

The body of missing Boyd County man Justin Reeder was found on Monday on County Road 218/Tunnel Ridge Road in Lawrence County, Ohio, according to police.

Justin Reeder was last seen on his skateboard on October 16 on 29th Street in Ashland.

The 21-year-old texted his dad that someone was going to pick him up, but he never returned home.

On Monday, Justin’s father, Tim, searched a field near I-64 in Ashland.

“It’s been a living hell. I’ve never experienced nothing so bad in my life,” Tim told LEX 18 before his son’s body was found. “It’s the worst thing that’s happened to me.”

Jacob Lane,24, of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, was already in the Boyd County Jail charged with 2nd degree burglary from an alleged incident at Tim’s house.

“The last person that was with him had his phone and keys, because I caught the man in my house with his keys,” said Tim.

Police say Lane shot Reeder to death on the day he vanished. LEX 18 spoke to Tim Reeder after he was notified of his son’s death.

“It’s the worst day of my life, that I found out my son been murdered. I’m sorry I can’t help it. It’s an awful thing to find out that your son has been dead and laying in the woods for 8 days,” said Reeder.

A gofundme page has been established to help with funeral expenses. Click here to donate.

Cold Case Reward Offered For Information in 5 Year Old Hit and Run Case

Detectives have never been able to identify the driver who hit and killed a man in a North Lexington neighborhood five years ago.

Lance Newby Jr.’s family is hoping a cash reward could compel someone to come forward.

It was on November 11, 2011 that the 29-year-old was trying to catch a bus on Winburn Drive when an SUV hit him, and the driver took off.

“I just can’t see how someone could run a person over, and keeping going, like it’s nothing,” said the victim’s mother, Jennifer Stigall.

Police have never been able to locate the SUV or the driver.

Missing Person Search Continues For Knott Co. Child 35 Years Later

Nearly 35 years ago, a young boy disappeared in Eastern Kentucky.

Kelly Junior Hollan was just 6-years-old the last time he was seen in 1982.

“For lack of a better, a better term, he just kind of disappeared into thin air,”
said Trooper Jody Sims with the Kentucky State Police.

Although tips and leads have turned up little to nothing in the investigation, KSP Detective Chris Collins has taken on the case that has little evidence.

Family members of Kelly Hollan say that he was outside playing in the middle of the day, but when his mother went outside to get him, he was gone without a trace.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“There was nothing in and around the residence to indicate that injury or struggle or anything like that,” said Trooper Sims. “It was just a matter of, he was there, and then when they went to check on him again, he wasn’t.”

Trooper Sims told LEX 18 that there has never been a named suspect in the case.

At one point, Kelly’s mother, Jude Moore, was a person of interest.

Four years ago, Moore spoke with LEX 18.

“If I had done anything, I’d come forward and say, ‘I did it.’ But, I didn’t do it,” Moore told LEX 18.

The house where Kelly Hollan was last seen alive is no longer there. A couple years ago, working on tips, police came back out to the area. They dug up some ground underneath concrete, but found nothing.

Trooper Sims said that anytime new information comes in, KSP checks on it right away.

Some people wonder if Kelly Hollan may still be alive.

“I don’t know that that would be a stretch, but you still have to be cautious about how you talk about those things, because there always is that chance that he is still alive,” said Trooper Sims.

The decades-old case of Kelly Hollan is the only missing child case that the KSP Post in Hazard is working.

Police hope that with the passage of time, someone with a guilty conscience will come forward with information.

“I think it’s safe to say someone, still in this world, knows what happened to him,” said Trooper Sims.

The last time police got a tip was in 2015. They hope people will continue to talk about the case and report information to State Police.
