Wrongful Death Man Accused of Murder Accidentally Released from Pike Co. Jail

A man accused of murder was accidentally released from a Pike County Jail.

Family members of murder victim Tyrone Booker thought they were closer to justice and closure.

“I’m livid,” Booker’s aunt Cheri Allen told LEX 18.

The attorney for Terrance Moore, the man accused, even said he was surprised that his client had been released.

Jail officials told LEX 18 that the reason Moore was let out was confusion.

Pike County Lieutenant Johnny Cooper said Moore was transferred to their facility from Taylor County in mid-September and they never saw anything about a pending Murder charge as it related to Moore, only a robbery charge.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

“The Department of Corrections sent us a notice of discharge for that charge,” said Cooper. “So by our system, he was ready to go.”

They called it a “procedural error.”

“I want no other family to go through what we went through today.  Nobody,” said Allen. “This is the worst pain ever.”

A judge has issued a warrant for Moore’s arrest.

Tyrone Booker was one of the “Mis-Identified Four,” a group of men who sued and won a case against the City of Louisville for being profiled.

Police say he was killed in March.

Private Detective: Thieves Target Cars At Parks

Thieves are targeting cars at Lexington parks.

Lexington Police released photos of a woman who they say are behind at least fifteen car break-ins and thefts at Shillito Park and Cardinal Run Park going back to mid-September. They believe she is working with two men.

In August, police were looking for a group connected to similar crimes at the same parks, but those people were caught.

“This is the same type of method of operation that we’re used to, with some of these other groups we’ve run into throughout the summer,” said Detective Mark Thomas with the Lexington Police Department.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Police say these new thieves do more than just take cash, credit, cards, and valuables.

“When they’re taking the credit cards and the checkbooks, this group is even going so far as to use the credits cards and the checks, to write checks to themselves and just cash those,” said Detective Thomas.

The woman was seen on surveillance footage cashing a stolen check at a bank.

The group has been seen in a white pick-up truck, possibly a Nissan Frontier, and a black, Nissan Maxima.
