Private Detective: Grandmother Attacked and Robbed During Pizza Delivery

A woman was left in the middle of the street, beaten and bloodied, all for a few bucks and some pizza.

Last Friday, a Domino’s driver in Nicholasville was attacked and robbed.

LEX 18 talked to the victim, and she’s a tough grandmother who says she won’t let what happened scare her from working.

“Because I’m elderly. I’m older, and when they saw me, they thought they had an easy target,” said Jane Lucas.

At 11:30 on that Friday night, Lucas turned and parked on Gainesville Drive in Nicholasville.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Police say Lucas’ female customer approached her outside, near the address.

“It was when a guy walked up and asked to borrow my phone. That’s when I got suspicious,” said Lucas.

She says the man walked by, then hit her on the back of the head.

“Wrestled me down to the ground. Held my mouth shut so I’d be quiet. And then right when he took his hand off my mouth, then he decided to hit me across the face,” said Lucas.

The man and woman took Lucas’ purse, cash, and even the heat bag with cheese bread.

With blood streaming down her face, she got to her car and called 911.

“Broke my wrist. Crushed my nose. I don’t know what it is here, but they hit the back of my neck and head,” said Lucas.

But Lucas isn’t scared. She just wants the robbers caught, and to get back to work.

“I’m not gonna give that job up just because somebody was stupid enough to rob me,” said Lucas.

Police are looking for the robbers, a man who was wearing a hoodie, and the woman Lucas was talking to before she was attacked. Contact Nicholasville police if you know anything.

Missing Person Missing Toddler Found Safe

After about 11 hours of searching, a 21-month-old boy who had walked away from his home was found safe and sound.

“He was located about two miles from where we are up this gravel road and I was told he was on an old logging road,” said Trooper Robert Purdy with Kentucky State Police.

KSP says that 21-month-old Logain “Bubba” Chumbley walked away from his home on Upper Brush Creek Road southwest of Hustonville around 9:00 a.m.

“He can get from here to that truck in no time I mean he’s a quick little boy he’s always on it,” said Marcie Mull, Logain’s aunt.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Ashley Mull, Logain’s mother, said they searched frantically before calling for help, “it’s unbelievable that he got down this far because he don’t want to get off of momma’s hip like I carry him around all the time.”

The search was narrowed down to Blue Bank Road. KSP was working with the Casey County Sheriff’s Office and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to find the boy.

They had a helicopter and K-9 units were out searching too. Neighbors even got on ATVs and horses to help search for the boy.

Over 100 people were searching for Logain.

“It’s just a tight-knit neighborhood things like this don’t normally happen so we just go you just try to help who ever needs it,” said Amanda Wethington, a search volunteer.

Volunteers found his diaper and shorts separate from him.

Logain was found a little after 8:00 p.m. two miles from his residence.
Troopers say Logain had minor scratches but was taken to Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville as a precaution.

Private Detective: Ex-Powell County Youth Pastor Pleads Guilty to Sex Abuse Charges

A former Powell County youth pastor has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual abuse Monday.

52-year-old Steve Williams was accused of sexually abusing at least two minors.  Williams was a school bus driver for Powell County Schools and pastor of the Bowen First Church of God for about two and a half years. Powell County deputies say the church has one of the largest youth groups in the area, and Williams was very involved with many children in the congregation.

Authorities were first alerted about the alleged misconduct by the Powell County Board of Education on Thursday, after a student who attends Powell County Middle School reported that she had been sexually abused by Williams.

Following the allegations, Powell County school officials immediately suspended Williams from busing students. Hours later, Powell County deputies received another complaint accusing Williams of sexual misconduct; this time from a 16-year-old girl.

The trial against Williams was set to begin Monday. After accepting his guilty plea, the judge scheduled formal sentencing for November 2.

Missing Person 17 Year Old Oklahoma County Teen

The Oklahoma County Sheriffs Office needs your help finding a missing 17-year-old boy who has been missing since Saturday around 4 p.m. Jay Cross was last seen as his home near Britton and Peebly. Deputies say he has autistic tendencies and may have run off after being disciplined by his parents.

Neighbors tell Fox 25 Cross comes from a loving family and has a need for everything to be in perfect order. That characteristic is now helping to guide search and rescue teams.

“Because of his need for orderliness we don’t think he’s going to use the interstate,” said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel,

“But he would be on Hefner Road, Memorial Road, Britton Road.”

Deputies said Cross is a long distance runner and has the stamina to put a significant distance between himself and his home.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Officials say if you do see Cross, you need to approach the situation carefully.

“If you see this young man, don’t necessarily approach him but just call us and tell us where he’s at, keep your eyes on him,” Whetsel said, “He’s not violent or anything but because of his autistic tendencies he doesn’t approach strangers.”

Deputies say Cross was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and black boots. He is 5’7″ and weighs 125 pounds. If you know anything, please contact the Oklahoma County Sheriffs Office at (405) 713-1000
