Private Detective: Couple Charged in Vicious Attack

A Clark County couple is facing multiple charges after police say they attacked two men inside their Winchester home Friday.

Police are still trying to figure out a motive, but neighbors who believes heroin may be the culprit. The husband and wife allegedly stabbed and viciously attacked two men, and neighbors say it went on for hours.

Just after midnight on Friday morning, police responded to a home on Winn Avenue on report of a possible stabbing, but before they got to the house
the found one man on the ground covered in blood about a block away.

The officers followed a blood trail to the second unit of the building. Inside, officers found another man who told police he was being held against his will by James and Elizabeth Ball.

The man had multiple injuries and said James Ball hit him with a baseball bat and threatened to kill him.

Neighbors say they heard the man begging for his life. They believe this was the culmination of an argument that spanned a couple days.

“They was hollering about drugs and all that saying a bunch of crazy stuff then I heard some guy saying he had a claw hammer and if that guy moved it was gonna beat him with it,” one neighbor said.

Both Elizabeth and James Ball face multiple charges including unlawful imprisonment. They are now in the Clark County Detention Center.

Pedophile Tracking Registered Sex Offender Arrested After Exposing Himself to Girl in TX

A registered sex offender was arrested after police said he exposed himself to a child at an eastside store.

Police said a 10-year-old girl was with her mother at the Family Dollar store at 615 N. Zaragoza Road earlier this month.

The girl briefly walked away from her mother to another aisle and that’s when Paul Patrick Siqueiros, 52, when up to her, exposed himself, and made a lewd comment, police said.

The girl got scared and ran crying to her mother, police said.

Siqueiros left the store but detectives were able to identify him through surveillance footage obtained from the store.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and detectives with the Crimes Against Children unit located him Tuesday at his home on the 12100 block of Tower View Drive, police said.

Siqueiros, who is already a registered sex offender, was charged with indecency with a child by exposure and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $20,000 bond.

Private Detective: One Dead After Multiple Heroin Overdoses Reported in Several Counties

Police in Mount Sterling and Winchester are investigating after responding to multiple overdose cases overnight.

According to a Facebook post by the Mount Sterling Police Department, police are currently investigating 12 overdoses on heroin that occurred in the overnight hours of Thursday morning.

“This preliminarily appears to be from a very potent form of heroin. If you are a heroin addict be aware of this before using. Naturally, we would prefer you seek treatment as opposed to using but are also realistic enough to know that not all will. If you do wish help we have several hotlines available as well as other treatment options.”

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Montgomery County Fire/EMS told LEX 18 that one of those overdoses was fatal.

Police in Winchester say that in a matter of hours, at least five people overdosed on heroin. This leads them to believe that a batch laced with Fentanyl or a very pure form of heroin was sold in the area.

Police are asking drug users and their families in our area to please be aware and to help them save lives by telling police information about where this heroin came from.

“”It means we can save lives if they give us information. They can use our anonymous tip line, don’t even give us their name, they can email us or have a friend do it. A parent can give us information,” said Winchester Police Chief David Palmer.

This follows two cases of multiple heroin overdoses in Cincinnati and West Virginia.

Private Detective: Minister Accused of Smuggling Drugs Into Jail

A minister, his wife, and his daughter-in-law are all facing charges after police say the minister smuggled drugs into the Whitley County Detention Center.

An investigation led to Gary Smiddy being arrested and charged with trafficking Methamphetamine and Marijuana.

The minister was taking part in the jail ministry program, when officials say he used a guitar case to smuggle in drugs and then passed them off to his son who is being held in the jail.

Smiddy’s wife and daughter-in-law were also charged in the case.

Investigators say they have phone recordings that implicate the wife and daughter-in-law in what they say was a scheme to make money.

Smiddy’s attorney says that he is being framed.

“It is his guitar case. He’s a minister who goes to the jail. He’s been going to the jail for sometime. But, there were several people who are also charged with it who had access to that guitar case,” said attorney Adam Howard.
