An investigation is underway after deputies say they found a 66-year-old man dead in a driveway.

Deputies say that just before 10:00 p.m. on Friday, they responded to a report of a shooting on Little Clifty Creek Road near Russell Springs.

They say that when they arrived, 66-year-old Montie Pendleton was lying in the driveway. He had a gunshot wound to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His 39-year-old son Eric Pendleton has been arrested and charged with murder in the case.

Eric Pendleton is in the Russell County Detention Center.

Montie Pendleton’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

KSP Troopers are searching for a missing Bell County man.

Robert L. Caldwell, 43, from Kettle Island was last seen at the Daniel Boone Motel in Middlesboro on August 12th around 7:00 p.m.

He is described by KSP as a white man, 5’10”, 225 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes, a tattoo of a tiger on his upper arm, and a scar on top of his head.

A 24-year-old Pueblo man is facing charges of sexual assault of a child following a police investigation.

Jonathon Caleb Bush was preparing to depart the state on a bus when he was arrested and taken into custody.

On Tuesday, Pueblo police officers received a report of a possible sexual assault on a child as well as possession of child pornography. Based on an investigation conducted by detectives from the Special Victims Section, an arrest warrant for the crime of sexual assault on a child was issued.

The victim was living with Bush and others at the time of the incident.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be forthcoming.

Bush is in jail with no bail set.

A 39-year-old Portland man was arrested Wednesday on accusations of child sexual abuse.

Ronald Nelson Chandler faces first-degree charges of unlawful sexual penetration, sex abuse and encouraging child sex abuse. Police believe there may be more victims.

The investigation into Chandler began on Aug. 10 when officers responded to a Southeast Portland home on a report of child sex abuse and the possession of child pornography. The victim, who is now an adult, said the incidents occurred over a 10-year period, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson of Portland police.

On Aug. 18, detectives served a search warrant at Chandler’s home in the 14900 block of Southeast Division Street and seized several items of evidence.

Chandler’s juvenile children have been placed into protective custody, Simpson said.

A man is wanted by the FBI for his involvement in a Rowan County child pornography case.

In December 2009, authorities say that Ranger Lacy, 39, allegedly engaged in child pornography and traded images as of 2011. Officials with the FBI say that more than 40,000 sexually explicit images of child pornography were reportedly found on his computer.

On July 9, 2015, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Lacy. He was charged with distribution and possession of child pornography.

His arraignment was set for July 14, 2015, but he never showed up. His whereabouts are unknown.

Officials say that Lacy doesn’t work and is reportedly living off of a family trust fund. He owns property in Okeechobee, Florida, but has possibly been spotted in Morehead and Frenchburg, Kentucky.

KSP arrested a man on charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

Mark F. Berry, 54, was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against children investigation. KSP officials say that their Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering he was sharing images of sexual acts involving children online.

When they searched his Glasgow residence on Thursday, equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination, according to KSP.

Berry is charged with 20 counts of possession and 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.  Each charge is punishable by one to five years in prison.

Berry was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.

A father accused in a deadly shooting entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment Friday.

That’s according to the Morehead News. Investigators say Jimmy Adkins got into a fight with his girlfriend earlier this week.

When police got there, Adkins had left the home on Brown Ridge Road in Morehead. He later returned and that’s when investigators say the girlfriend’s father, Teddy Johnson, was waiting for him.

Adkins was later found dead of a gunshot wound across the street. Johnson is charged with murder.

The Winchester Police Department is warning businesses in the area to be on the lookout for counterfeit twenty dollar bills.

According to their Facebook page, police have been informed of the fake bills and are hoping the public, merchants, and banks will heed the warning.

What’s tricky about these bills is that they are passing the counterfeit ink pen test. In order to detect these bills, hold the bill up to a light source and look for a faint picture of Andrew Jackson’s face above the “20” next to the arrow on the index card. This particular “20” will also not change color when looked at from varying angles.
